About Jeremy:
Jeremy Jessen serves as the Senior Pastor of Lakewood Baptist Church. Since 2015, he has demonstrated his leadership by launching an expository pulpit ministry, establishing a new church constitution, reordering church polity, supervising multiple staff members, and leading a successful capital campaign to raise funds for a new church facility. His previous experience as a pastor in his hometown of St. Louis, Missouri, further underscores his leadership skills.
Jeremy's commitment to education is evident in his roles at Redemption Seminary, The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. His previous service as an Adjunct Professor at both Moody Bible Institute and Missouri Baptist University further demonstrates his dedication to learning and teaching.
He received his B.A. in Pastoral Studies from Moody Bible Institute and an M.Div., Th.M., and Ph.D. from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. His academic research interests are in Christian preaching, historical theology, and practical theology.
Jeremy is married to Jennifer, and they live in Louisville, Kentucky, with their three children, Isabel, Grant, and Haddon.
